Harry Robertson’s friendship meant so much to me throughout the years. He was a beta reader for my book, provided advance praise, and was a stalwart friend and supporter. We shared a passion for aviation and a passion for ranching. His company, Robertson Fuel Systems in Tempe, Arizona, is the place to go for crashworthy fuel tanks, the science, design, and manufacturing of which he pioneered. Harry specialized in commercial, business, and military airborne applications, and the world lost a hero on October 8, 2021. Our industry will never be the same.
I miss him dearly. Some of his last words to me included these kind thoughts which he wrote on behalf of One Life Lost, Millions Gained: The Story of a Flight Nurse Turned MedAire CEO.
“Since 1985 MedAire’s core mission has been to protect and save lives. Through MedLink, our “911 in the sky,” on-demand medical assistance became available for airline passengers and crews, business and general aviation, and luxury yachts. This book is the story of Joan Sullivan Garrett’s vision, hard work and leadership making MedAire the global provider of 24/7 medical assistance.”
Enjoy the videos below that explain his incredible feats and memorialize his journey.
