Many thanks to Business Air News for their November 2019 article congratulating me on my nomination and induction into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame.

I still smile at the article’s rhyming title: Well-known Joan joins Hall of Fame.

Garrett’s founding of MedAire, now the leading global provider of 24/7 integrated safety solutions for aviation and maritime where remote medical care is in high demand, along with her congressional testimony in 2001 that led to the FAA’s final ruling requiring US airlines to carry AEDs on all domestic and international flights, were cited by the San Diego Air & Space Museum in reference to her induction to the Hall of Fame.

Business Air News kindly followed up in November 2021 with another article, this time congratulating me for my induction into the National Aviation Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020.

I discuss these and other honors in my book, all stemming from my mission in life, which has always been to save lives. I hope you enjoy One Life Lost, Millions Gained: The Story of a Flight Nurse Turned MedAire CEO.
